Sal Black Cat
This is a handmade kiln fired clay folk art black cat. The art work can be hung on the wall or displayed in a plate stand on a flat surface. The item has built in fasteners and a wire for hanging on the wall. It’s glazed with high fire food safe glazes and kiln fired a second time. The clay was formed into multiple layers and was kneaded to removed all the air pockets. Each piece was then air dyed and shaped. It was then kiln fired to almost two thousand degrees during the firing process. The high temperature removed all the water from the clay and also caused reactions within the clay to cause it to take a permanent shape in the form of the cat.
