Poems To Go

Get a poem out.
Okay boys get those presses working.
The world is waiting for another poem.
Time is money in the poem business.

Get a bag of that angst
measure out that anger.

Gotta move.
We’re Poems to Go.
Man that window
they’ll be lining up soon.
Wrap those poems.
Here throw in some of this sadness
I got it from the wife.
It’s left overs
from that country song.

Why Do You Write Poem

“Why do you do that,

Why do you write these poems?”,

she said as she put her smokes on the table.

I don’t know

I don’t remember starting things.

So why do you continue

you blogger you,

putting your words among these billions of other words

from people like you,

pouring out their lives like salt,

salt which others will sweep away.

Why do you do this anononymous thing, this

insignificant scribbling of

chipmunks on a log?

Because the keyboard is there.

Why does someone pray?

Maybe I’m talking to Him.

Maybe I’m just talking to myself.

Maybe I’m the only one who thinks I’m clever

and I read myself for

my tiny little ego.

I write for me.

That’s it.

When I say waterfall

I see a waterfall,

flowing off the hillside and falling

falling

into a wonderful mist which

settles into a green

pool of spring time

water.

I wash myself in this water.

Abstract Mouse Painting

Sexy little mouse?
I usually am awarded this kind of keyword. A mouse is just what I made of it. Others see something else maybe. It was the purpose to let the viewer make his own decisions as to what it is. That doesn’t work out in this venue, the internet art gallery. My robot friends want to know where to put it. Someone will actually ask for an abstract mouse painting. I know these things because I’m already there for cat, turtle and a bunch of other abstract animals. At least my abstract cat painting is an abstract. Most of the others look like cats. LOL. There is another artist somewhere saying, “At least my abstract cat looks like a cat.” LOL again.

So this is my abstract mouse painting. I have to keep these two painting apart to protect the mouse.

We All Poem

We all

look in the mirror

we all

know what race we are

we all

have notions about the other races.

We all get together with others of our race

and

talk about the other races.

We all

are predjuced.

We know if our knees knock

we know if our nose is crooked, if our feet are ugly.

But we don’t seem to know

how much we need to

overcome and

how far we

need to

go.
