After Lunch Poem

Poetry Archive/ Home/ Poetry Links

by Marilyn McIntyre

sometime after lunch
a sneeze and then
my teeth come out
and my thoughts
dentures in glass
words on paper
water and ink
tears and terms
two saviours
lured back
in time
for dinner.
