\r\nAngelic<\/strong>\r\n\r\nI am of you very --\r\n         harked and widely\r\n         truly hovered\r\n         raised on twirls and wonders\r\nMy arms above are lifted towards you\r\n\tover flowing\r\n\r\nAnd my heart is truly spread\r\n         or split or stirred upon you\r\n         beyond unending pieces\r\n\r\nI am wings as much as \r\n         all above you\r\n         above what may be surely \r\n\r\nI blaze upon your eyes that say  \r\n         how flames may fling \r\n         as must our moths \r\nOn fizzling air arrive\r\n         and forward as can rise\r\n         I fly unto you  \r\n\r\nI am of you ever \r\n         in swept up breath \r\n         on shuddering time \r\n         as if you will me purely --\r\nSo radiantly scattered by\r\n         or lifted high to craze \r\n\t\r\nFor I am come to you as trumpets\r\n         and through you always\r\n         as if for wings to be or tell\r\n         in any sky\r\n         of you for you alone\r\n\r\nAngelic<\/em> -- This poem first appeared in Empyrean Literary Magazine.<\/em>\r\n\r\nSummertime<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFold up the table\r\n         and chairs\r\nPack up to go\r\nIt\u2019s time\r\nThe crowd is thinning out fast\r\n         and the parking lot field is emptying\r\n\r\nSo unplug everything\r\nTake down the flag\r\nZip the snacks back into bags\r\nAnd make sure everything else is put away in boxes\r\n\r\nWave goodbye\r\nStep over there to shake hands and mention next week\r\nStart to leave and then\r\nLook back to double check\r\n         that nothing\u2019s left behind\r\n\r\nSoaked<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFame must be like driving \r\n        in a downpour\r\n        or squinting through it --\r\n        trying to see \r\n        what\u2019s what at night\r\n        with no one else around\r\n        but loudly.\r\n\r\nOr maybe being well known means in fact that\r\n        wet shirts finally feel normal. \r\nMaybe in fact if you suddenly do get the chills \r\n        from all the headlines\r\n        then those shivers will cause you to \r\n        simply say Well thank you.<\/em>\r\n\r\nTruth be told acclaim is probably like when creeks flood  \r\n\tyour low ground\r\n        and trees and dogs are just laughing \r\n        from dry above\r\n        as you float by\r\n        waving.\r\n\r\nYes, popularity must be like her basement smells --\r\n        special and forever --\r\n        long after your granny turns in her ticket\r\n        for good.\r\n\r\nSoaked<\/em> -- The poem first appeared in Poetry Catalog<\/em>. <\/pre>\n
