\r\nBody Artiste<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\nBrandy called herself an empty easel\r\nready to strip down naked and take on\r\nprimary colors, a blank canvass eager\r\nto display artistic genius & mutable\r\ngood taste as her flesh took on hues\r\nany rainbow might envy & satisfied\r\na young boy\u2019s locker room fantasy.\r\n\r\nDaybreak till twilight, artists illustrated\r\nBrandy\u2019s skin; she posed for photos,\r\nsent them into cyberspace & reveled\r\nin notoriety that left her wanting, longing\r\nfor lustrous fulfillment as someone\u2019s\r\nmagnum opus, satisfaction in spirit\r\nonly complete when stroked by a brush.\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\nStudio Vogue 1970<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\nVinyl record albums stacked facedown\r\n\r\n            like semi-glossy square decks of cards\r\n\r\nfeebly served as trendy apartment bookends\r\n\r\n            supporting a motley assortment\r\n\r\nof leather bound & paperback texts.\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\nA discarded telephone wire spool, my\r\n\r\n            hip coffee table, that looked like\r\n\r\na Brobdingnag sewing bobbin, showcased\r\n\r\n            artbooks ranging from Frida Kahlo\u2019s symbolism\r\n\r\n& Michelangelo\u2019s sculptures to Dali\u2019s surrealism.\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\nLovers and I watched our youthful bodies\r\n\r\n            roll with an undulating waterbed tide\r\n\r\nthrough a full-length plastic mirror\r\n\r\n            nailed like a crucifix above us\r\n\r\nbefore we sank to the liquid mattress\u2019s center.\r\n\r\n.\r\n\r\nDays and nights we once seemed to own\r\n\r\n            fell victim to infrequency\u2019s impact\r\n\r\non intimate moments: the paucity\r\n\r\n            of cheap thrills, my dated studio d\u00e9cor, <\/pre>\n
