\r\nMOURNING DAD<\/strong>\r\n\r\nhe is decomposed\r\nfrom a bramble rose\r\nnow-\r\nhis thorns\r\nof storms\r\ndrow,\r\nfoetal curled\r\nin the underworld\r\nfaerie peat without plough.\r\n\r\nis it fun\r\nwith all those comical\r\nmusical\r\njacketed jesters-\r\nor primplum\r\nsuitedrun\r\nby posh ancestors-\r\ndoing the same this and that\r\nto keep your spirit level flat\r\nwith docile protestors\r\nwired to silicon investors.\r\n\r\ni bought this new fedora hat\r\nin whitewashed Mijas\r\nto be my own brown\r\nRomany\r\nsee as-\r\nlet them face their ignominy\r\nwhen i wear it here in town-\r\nlike an un-shoed horse\r\nfrom the roadgorse\r\nprancing right\r\nthrough their moral less light\r\nbrim slanted defiantly down\r\neyes outsider brown.\r\n\r\nis it no Left or Right there.\r\ndo you have your chair\r\nto sit in.\r\ncan you smoke your pipe\r\ngathering stars in its clouds at night\r\nthinking thoughts in nothing.\r\ndo you still use words\r\nto help wingless birds\r\nor is it silent\r\nto the violent\r\nfermenting fear\r\nwhen the truth comes near\r\njust like here.\r\n\r\n \r\nTHROUGH TALL WINDOWS<\/strong>\r\n\r\n \r\nin late afternoon meadows\r\n\r\nlow light sketched your shadows\r\n\r\nin Mucha pose\r\n\r\nwhile I watched\r\n\r\nthrough tall windows.\r\n\r\n\r\nopening doors\r\n\r\nfootsteps on floors\r\n\r\nall the clocks\r\n\r\nin the house stopped\r\n\r\nin the sundial\r\n\r\nof your smile-\r\n\r\n \r\nthen prying phones\r\n\r\nbecame postponed\r\n\r\nand dissolved the blocks\r\n\r\nof being drones\r\n\r\nin dosed\r\n\r\napartments\r\n\r\nopening closed\r\n\r\ncompartments.\r\n\r\n \r\nmore Bogart and Bacall\r\n\r\nin Key Largo,\r\n\r\nor The Poet by Vettriano-\r\n\r\nin the hall,\r\n\r\nwe took Hopper\u2019s painting off the wall\r\n\r\nwith its stark stress\r\n\r\nheart of darkness.\r\n\r\n \r\nUs<\/strong>\r\n\r\n \r\nwe are composed\r\n\r\nout of the fate of stars\r\n\r\na light dark light so old\r\n\r\nand tuned that regards\r\n\r\nmost of Us as Other\r\n\r\npeasants\r\n\r\nwho are clothed\r\n\r\nwithout privileged presents\r\n\r\nto burn wood in cracked stoves\r\n\r\nunder crumbling cover.\r\n\r\nstitched to Their time\r\n\r\nwe entwine\r\n\r\nin our own interpretation\r\n\r\nof this spinning station.\r\n\r\nonly burlesque bright skies\r\n\r\nand the iris flowers of abandoned eyes\r\n\r\ncan change the fixed views\r\n\r\nof a selfish landscape\r\n\r\ninto united hues\r\n\r\nof equal state.\r\n\r\nour reality is broken-\r\n\r\nwe are the hosts\r\n\r\nand ghosts\r\n\r\nwho have been stolen\r\n\r\nthe violated tokens\r\n\r\nof corporatist totems\r\n\r\nscreen greed being traded\r\n\r\nand invaded\r\n\r\nthen beaten for protesting by police\r\n\r\nworking for the Thief.\r\n\r\n\r\nBABYLON'S BOHEMIAN BOUQUE<\/strong>T\r\n\r\n\r\ni like the way\r\nsome words you say\r\ngo against gravity\r\nand linger in the air\r\nwhen you've gone.\r\nsad or fair,\r\nthey blow away\r\nthis dungeons dark oblivion,\r\nand water me with wisdom\r\nlike a soft shawl\r\nwith scents and sounds\r\nthat i wrap around\r\nmy senses come what may-\r\nyou give it all,\r\nand love abounds\r\nin Babylon's bohemian bouquet.\r\nlike butterflies\r\nin druid grey skies,\r\nthe fragility\r\nof eternity\r\nripples with uncertainty,\r\nbut doesn't woo, then waver in your eyes.\r\nit's steady gaze\r\nseduces praise,\r\nthen fondles and savours\r\nloves succulent flavours,\r\nlike innocent alibis.<\/pre>\n
