Telos<\/strong>\r\n\r\nTwo evening lovers\u2019 echoes\r\nIn you forgotten dreams and\r\nmemories of essence.\r\n\r\nTouch wordlessly in a greater optimism.\r\n\r\nWaves of summer morn\r\nUnder a cloudless sky with\r\nflickering lights of desire.\r\n\r\nTurning like a dancer alone on the stage of life\r\n\r\nThe evening leaves turn after \r\nTheir first death and sleep\r\nIn the place of forgotten Gods.\r\n\r\nDoes it break you apart to see the expectation so muddled?\r\n\r\nTabula Rasa<\/strong>\r\n\r\nI saw the ethos of a\r\ngeneration destroyed-\r\nmourning the philosophers\r\nIn their artful vision.\r\n\r\nThe sense datum clouds\r\nwith cries of the \r\nnymphs welcoming \r\nnew world dawns.\r\n\r\nMentality is, in its way forming,\r\na sign of hopeful intelligence.\r\nKnavish roadblocks obstruct\r\ntriumphant returns to Arcadia.\r\n\r\nA sterism fills my sight\r\nAs the false memories\r\nOf a partial Utopia\r\nFlood my soul.\r\n\r\nAlgor<\/strong>\r\n\r\nLike a winter landscape fearful\r\nOf revealing what lies underneath\r\nAnd I-one minute\r\nAdrift from myself.\r\n\r\nOpening up to you\r\nIs as easy as breathing\r\nIn the quest for completion\r\nOf a new threshold.\r\n\r\nPoetry is a constructed conversation\r\nOn the frontier of dreaming.\r\nI cannot help but freeze-and\r\nScrutinize the ideology doctrine.<\/pre>\n

Carl Scharwath<\/strong>, has appeared globally with 170+ journals selecting his poetry, short stories, interviews, essays, plays or art. Two poetry books Journey to Become Forgotten (Kind of a Hurricane Press)  and Abandoned (Scars Tv) have been published. His new book \u201cThe Playground of Destiny\u201d (Impspired Press 8\/21) features prose, poems and photography. His first photography book was published by Praxis in Africa. His photography was also exhibited in the Mount Dora Center for The Arts and Leesburg Center for The Arts galleries. Carl is the art editor for Minute Magazine (USA,) has a monthly interview column with ILA Magazine, a competitive runner, and a  2nd degree black- belt in Taekwondo.<\/em>
