\nTrying to Exist
\n 
\nThere was once a little universe
\ncrowded with abandoned worlds
\ndimming planets and wandering sparks.
\n 
\nIn the midst of this quiet chaos
\nparticles swirled aimless in a dark substance
\nchasing lives dreamed up in an unknow realm.
\n 
\nSeeking a likeness in the mysterious substance
\ntwo would slow, pulled by an eternal force
\nthat brought them close as to begin life.
\n 
\nDevoid of human features
\nthey may have been giants or midgets
\nyet older than this odd mixture of all origins.
\n 
\nTheir presence could be sensed
\nas if two lovers holding in a tight embrace
\nin the intimacy of their wedding dress.
\n 
\n 
\n(ii.)
\n 
\nScarred faces
\n 
\nFaces float, menacing nearby;
\nthey grin, they scream, they decay.
\n 
\nLoves, and friendships melted away,
\nonly to return in Halloween masks.
\n 
\nTheir appeal worn away, faded,
\novertaken by the inner ugliness of souls.
\n 
\nRoses wilted, gentleness turned to ash,
\nof features stolen from forgotten corpses.
\n 
\nLittle remains of those gleeful memories,
\nwhile a cruel stench hovers, relentless.
\n 
\nThe joy twists in an agonizing query;
\nthere is no return after death\u2019s frigid kiss.
\n 
\n

\nSmell of younger days
\n 
\nFlavor of absent memories
\ninto one snapshot of forgone years
\nscent of mysterious objects
\nunattached.
\n 
\nListening to the forest singing
\nbrushes paint images of broad strokes
\nalive with energies of millennia
\nin unison.
\n 
\nHis eyes closed onto a landscape
\nonly he, can distinguish
\noverwhelmed by a past never really
\nforgotten.
\n 
\nSensations are many beyond the self
\nmerging within to another birth
\nwhere he can rest a weary soul
\na little while longer.
\n
