\nEXOTIC BIRDS
\n 
\ni love the substance
\nof eccentric style
\nin your beauty-
\nthe enchanting glance
\nof old fashioned romance
\nin your smile
\nthat softly soothes me
\nafter the external joust dust
\nof modernity
\nsettles
\non precious metals
\nsought by Faustus
\nstealing gas and oil
\nfrom African soil.
\ni love the dink
\nin the middle of your back
\nwhere my fingers sink
\nwhen i trace and track
\nthe road of your spine
\nin perfect sync
\nof mind with mine.
\ni last, near and far
\nin your scented clouds of cinnabar,
\nsinging, with you, want you, words
\nlike intoxicating exotic birds-
\nready to leave poisonous suburbs
\nto disturbed self and same
\narrogant and vain
\nvices and vines
\nembracing abyss in eclipsed times.
\n

\nLIFE IS FLAMENCO
\n 
\nwhy can’t i walk as far
\nand smoke more tobacco,
\nor play my Spanish guitar
\nlike Paco,
\nputting rhythms and feelings
\nwithout old ceilings
\nyou’ve never heard
\nbefore in a word.
\n 
\nlife is flamenco,
\nto come and go
\nhigh and low
\nfast and slow-
\n 
\nshe loves him,
\nhe loves her
\nand their shades within
\ncaress and spur
\nin a ride and dance
\nof tempestuous romance.
\n 
\noutback, in Andalucien ease,
\ni embrace you, like melted breeze
\namongst ripe olive trees-
\ndark and different,
\nall manly scent
\nand mind unkempt.
\n 
\nlike i do,
\nPicasso knew
\neverything about you
\nwhen he drew
\nyour elongated arms and legs
\naround me, in this perpetual bed
\nof emotion
\nand motion
\nfor these soft geometric angles
\nin my finger strokes
\nand exhaled smokes
\nof rhythmic bangles
\nto circle colour your Celtic skin
\nwith primitive phthalo blue
\npigment in wiccan tattoo
\nbefore entering
\nvibrating wings
\nthrough thrumming strings
\nof wild lucid moments
\nin eternal components.
\n
