So many hands out
\nwaving affection
\nthough they do not know
\nwho I truly am.
\n 
\nI hide the nervousness
\nand the thoughts
\nthat keep away sleep.
\n 
\nConfidence and anxiety
\ncause the different blend
\nof the perfect confusion.
\nHidden with a calm smile
\nto the many faces I meet.
\n 
\nAs I look you in the eye
\nplease remember one thing.
\nJust because we shake hands
\ndoes not mean you may know me.
\nThe only one that truly does
\nis the person in my shelter.

During his time as an active poet, Andrew Scott has taken the time to speak in front of classrooms, judge poetry competitions as well as had over 200 hundred writings published worldwide in such publications as The Art of Being Human, Battered Shadows <\/em>and The Broken Ones. <\/em>

\nAndrew Scott has published five poetry books, Snake With A Flower, The Phoenix Has Risen, The Path, The Storm Is Coming <\/em><\/strong>and Searching<\/strong><\/em> and one book of photography, Through My Eyes.<\/strong><\/em> Whispers Of The Calm <\/strong><\/em> is his sixth poetry book.
