\n 
\nStanding under the downpour
\nof a cold shower trying to scrub away this
\ndull movement that spreads within me darkly.
\nEven the water is disgusted by my failures,
\nabandoning me for the moist escape of the plug hole.
\n 
\n 
\n(ii.)
\nDental Care
\n 
\nFlossing my teeth, I noticed her toothbrush
\nstill there in the mug on the sink.
\nI picked it up,
\nfeeling the bristles rough underneath
\nthe flesh of my thumb &
\ndropped it in the trash
\nknowing she\u2019d never use it again.
\n 
\n 
\n(iii.)
\nIt\u2019s Time to Go Home
\n 
\nThere\u2019s a rent dodging fool
\ncalled Love in my heart with a
\nloaded .38 in his fist &
\na bullet-riddled target in sight but
\nthe last train is at the final station.
\nThe lights snap off one by one,
\nI can\u2019t remember where I left my coat.
\n 
\n 
\n(iv.)
\nOCD Dinner Date
\n 
\nI notice the finger smudges on the surface of the table.
\nListening to the buzzing fan circulating the dusty air.
\nA water stain a smirk on a fork.
\nSomeone on a table across the way snorts and sniffs.
\nI\u2019ve lost my appetite but will grin through dinner
\nuntil the check comes, go home and shower.
\n
