{"id":7459,"date":"2020-08-27T18:59:49","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T18:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.artvilla.com\/plt\/?p=7459"},"modified":"2021-07-07T11:44:34","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T11:44:34","slug":"testimony-a-video-poem-by-deborah-sfez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.artvilla.com\/plt\/testimony-a-video-poem-by-deborah-sfez\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;TESTIMONY&#8221;  A Video Poem by Deborah Sfez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TESTIMONY\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/330490034?h=446cf6c13e&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nDeborah Sfez is a multidisciplinary Israeli artist, born in 1964, working in C\u00f4te-D&#8217;Ivoire and<br \/>\nIsrael.<br \/>\nShe is a recognized Artist in Israel and internationally and has won several photography and<br \/>\nart awards.<br \/>\nHer work can also be found in the archives of several Museums.<br \/>\nHer tools are photography, moving image, filmed performance accompanied by texts and<br \/>\nmusic and sound composition.<br \/>\nHer path, atypical, begins with studies of literature and languages and then by learning the<br \/>\ntrades of Fashion and Theater Costume. <\/p>\n<p>Today her work mainly talks about the ups and downs of human existence, she talks about<br \/>\nthe experience of existence, partnership, how to overcome an illness, the fear of life, the<br \/>\nbeauty of to be a woman and the impossibility of being perfect. <\/p>\n<p>Photography, for her, means a creative research.<br \/>\nShe started her work with a series of hundreds of self-portraits by transforming her<br \/>\nappearance into many different characters using costumes, make-up and wigs.
