\na TV,
\nand a bed
\nis all a sulky
\nloner needs
\nfor a sojourn
\nin the sticks.

\nEat Bugles off
\nyour fingers,
\nlick the crumbs
\nunder the covers.

\nThe second storey
\nwindow has a view
\nof the frenetic energy
\nbeaming from the pool,
\ncorporeal flow.
\n

\nA stroll around town
\nis a chair
\nbeing forced down
\nyour throat
\nwith a rake.

\nBack in your room,
\nthe blinds are closed,
\ntelevision on.

\nCatch the late-night
\nfeature about sea
\nurchins in space.

\nActors in outlandish
\ntin foil costumes pinwheel
\nlike toads clenched
\nto twine saucers.
