Lamer\u00e1n sus tobillos las sombras de la noche<\/b><\/p>\n

cuando termine el baile, e hipn\u00f3tico te mire:<\/b><\/p>\n

le pides que te rasgue con la carne de un beso<\/b><\/p>\n

y anhelar\u00e1s su cuerpo, su cuerpo que no est\u00e1.\u2026 <\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

como serpiente al tronco ci\u00f1\u00e9ndose, centauro,<\/b><\/p>\n

mientras t\u00fa te despiertas del trance m\u00e1s profundo,<\/b><\/p>\n

pasajera en su jungla, en su abrazo mortal.<\/b><\/p>\n

Y desear\u00e1s morirte, brillantes las pupilas,<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

y luchar\u00e1s a muerte contra la muerte lenta<\/b><\/p>\n

que quiere emponzo\u00f1arte y era s\u00f3lo el desliz,<\/b><\/p>\n

el deslizarse lento de su lengua en tu boca,<\/b><\/p>\n

The shadows of the night will be caressing his ankles<\/b><\/p>\n

when the dance ends and he stares at you hypnotically<\/b><\/p>\n

and you ask him to tear you open with a carnal kiss,<\/b><\/p>\n

whilst longing for his body, a body no longer there…<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

but entangled like a serpent on a trunk, a Centaur,<\/b><\/p>\n

and there you had been awoken from the profoundest trance<\/b><\/p>\n

to travel in his jungle caught in his lethal embrace,<\/b><\/p>\n

and where you will want to die in the brilliance of your eyes.<\/b><\/p>\n

And there you will struggle against death, against a slow death<\/b><\/p>\n

that wants to poison you, and it was only that, that slip<\/b><\/p>\n

that slidingly slipped slowly its tongue down into your mouth,<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

coldly reptilian, which shunning you mutely refused,<\/b><\/p>\n

as in the wisdom of high tide receding from the shore,<\/b><\/p>\n

departs, leaving only bleeding, semen and little else.<\/b><\/p>\n

Amparo Arrospide (Argentina) is a Spanish poet and translator. She has published four poetry collections, Mosaicos bajo la hiedra, Alucinaci\u00f3n en dos actos y algunos poemas, Pa\u00f1uelos de usar y tirar and Presencia en el Misterio as well as poems, short stories and articles on literary and film criticism in anthologies and both national and foreign magazines. She has received numerous awards. Together with Robin Ouzman Hislop, she worked as co-editor of Poetry Life and Times, an E-zine.<\/b><\/p>\n
