\nIn absolute repose the aging child stands
\nAtop a landscape forbidden to his kin
\nEthers hover, lost between lives.
\n 
\nThe substance of what he may be, lost
\nGhost of a self he may never encounter
\nWandering in the midst of contradictory ecstasies.
\n 
\nDoes he truly live in the cage of those bones
\nIs the pain in the fibers of this time
\nPerhaps consciousness has already fainted.
\n 
\nThe valley slowly turns about his strange home
\nAssailed by the mockery of the piercing stars
\nMemories of centuries he never knew flash.
\n 
\nContemplating the thickness of deep space above
\nSoon he will be devoured by the mystery below
\nPrisoner of eternities past and future.
\n 
\nUnable to anchor the languorous self he looses contact
\nHe now knows the terror of measured eons
\nThe reality of the death he can no longer recall.
\n
