flank the dry dirt track, <\/i><\/p>\n

one of Greta Thunberg,<\/i><\/p>\n

another of Mad Max<\/i><\/p>\n

Just one road,<\/p>\n

one direction,<\/p>\n

across a dessert<\/p>\n

that has no end:<\/p>\n

A traffic jam<\/p>\n

in tomorrow\u2019s land<\/p>\n

(vending machines<\/p>\n

are empty)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All that trade<\/p>\n

All that plastic<\/p>\n

All those soldiers<\/p>\n

All those Laws<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tell me why<\/p>\n

they all speak<\/p>\n

the same Language<\/p>\n

of water Addicts<\/p>\n

in that Oasis<\/p>\n

of tin and oil<\/p>\n

of heavy metal<\/p>\n

of guilt and sweat.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All that Science<\/p>\n

All those prayers<\/p>\n

All those poems<\/p>\n

All that Love<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Premium seats<\/p>\n

in Noah\u2019s Coach<\/p>\n

Chorus of Crickets<\/p>\n

orphans of trees<\/p>\n

A yellow Finale<\/p>\n

of gravity sour<\/p>\n

of Mass unaccomplished<\/p>\n

of Time that won\u2019t be<\/p>\n

All those flowers<\/p>\n

All that Music<\/p>\n

All that laughter<\/p>\n

All that Sex<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The story ends when blood becomes so thin that it evaporates, forming clouds that would suffocate the melting mirage in the Monopolitan Globe. <\/i><\/p>\n

Time to return home from Utter Space, and invent a better fable.<\/i><\/p>\n

Antonio Mart\u00ednez Arboleda:
\nAntonio (Tony Martin-Woods) started to write poetry for the public in 2012, at the age of 43, driven by his political indignation. That same year he also set in motion Poes\u00eda Indignada<\/em>, an online publication of political poetry. He runs the poetry evening Transforming with Poetry <\/em>at Inkwell, in Leeds, and collaborates with 100 Thousands Poets for Change <\/em>100tpc.org<\/a>\/. Tony is also known in the UK for his work as an academic and educator under his real-life name, Antonio Mart\u00ednez Arboleda at the University of Leeds. His project of digitisation of poetry, \u00c1rtemis, compiles more than 100 high quality videos of Spanish poets and other Open Educational Resources. http:\/\/www.artemispoesia.com<\/a>\/ .<\/p>\n

He is the delegate in the UK of Cr\u00e1tera Revista de Cr\u00edtica y Poes\u00eda Contempor\u00e1nea<\/em> , where he also publishes his work as translator from English into Spanish. He published his first volume of poetry in Spanish, Los viajes de Diosa (The Travels of Goddess)<\/em>, in 2015, as a response to the Great Recession, particularly in Spain. His second book, Goddess Summons the Nation Paperback<\/a> ,\u00a0 Goddess Summons the Nation Kindle Edition<\/a> , is a critique of the ideas of nation and capitalism, mainly in the British Brexit context. It incorporates voices of culprits, victims and heroes with mordacity and rhythm. It consists of 21 poems, 18 of which are originally written in English, available in print and kindle in Amazon and other platforms.
