Brothers find purity in war.
\nIn my safe house, hiding, I encounter a rabbit.
\nTogether we watch the boys beat the bush-
\nmuddled bees, flowers turned into petals,
\nfallen in fragments.
\nIf you ask me what the fear smells like
\nI’ll say- small mammal, wasp and sting, Jasmine.
\nSun traverses the field, nears the volcano of shadows, trees.
\nClouds shape a bear, bear tundra, shower on my everything.
\nI turn. The rabbit’s gone. The rabbit’s gone.<\/p>\n
