\ndelivers to the world
\nthis woman
\nwhole and fully functional.

\ntubes zig-zagging out of limp arms,
\nliquid pumped through her body
\nbut doing nothing for that
\nsad, deserted face.
\n
\nThe morning is
\na Jesus in a white coat
\nfailing to replicate
\nwhatever worked with Lazarus.

\nYes, there are times when dreams
\nhave it all over religion.
