There is the arena of hope
\na bit of mist, shrouded
\ninto unbecoming land
\nand it pours, the rains
\non these hill tops and caves
\nbrush against my body,
\nthe starched shirt, with the
\nominous smell of ‘ something
\ngoes on’
\nsomething is going on everyday
\nwith the moon wearing whiskers
\nand the sun nestling on hill slopes
\nand in the midst, the arena of hope
\ndreams, dreaming, continues to over pour
\ntill a vast tide of the river enters a hill town
\nand the floods besmirch the hills, the pines
\nI light candles surrounded by promontories
\nof vision.
\nFlicker of argument.
\nA ray of light
\nthe last bus in town, now trundles
\nalongside my roadside dreams.
