EMILY AS THE MYSTERY IN THE BASEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

The light requires a climbing.
\nI don\u2019t always want the light.
\nMost of the time I want Emily.<\/p>\n

EMILY AS THE SAME MISTAKE<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a terrible alcoholic.
\nI don\u2019t drink anymore,
\nbut I always kiss Emily<\/p>\n

& she is still drinking
\nwhen she can. I know
\nthe whole of the map<\/p>\n

of my sobriety. I set it
\non fire by loving Emily
\nmore than I love myself.<\/p>\n

EMILY AS WHAT\u2019S BENEATH THE ROOTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

I heard a bell. I named my daughter Belle.
\nI heard my father-in-law\u2019s shame in the core
\nof my person, so I named my son after<\/p>\n

my father-in-law. Emily, she is pregnant
\nagain, so she is being very careful with what
\nshe\u2019s letting me read these days. My mother<\/p>\n

says she owes me a steak dinner for getting
\nmy tenth collection picked up. I think I\u2019ll
\nchange my name to meat. I\u2019ll leave this<\/p>\n

next child the pleasure of naming him\/herself.
\nI don\u2019t think I can handle much more
\nthan loving this new world coming my way.
\n
