\nWe live in such a strange
\nand unkind world.
\n 
\nWhere you can stand
\nbeside a thousand people
\nbut feel completely invisible.
\n 
\nWhere a cold shiny screen
\ncan make you feel close to
\nthose who are far away,
\nbut make you feel far away
\nto those who are closer.
\n 
\nWhere conversation turns
\ninto text, relationships are
\njust a status and friendship
\na rivalry.
\n 
\nWhere we live to work
\nand not work to live.
\n 
\nWhere people are like zombies
\nstaring at their phones and
\ncompletely ignoring all that
\nhappens around them.
\n 
\nWhere you can take a picture of
\nfood while ignoring an image
\nof a starving child.
\n 
\nWhere Family turns into strangers
\nand strangers into family.
\n 
\nThis world is falling apart
\nunder our own feet
\nFull of hatred but empty of love.
\n 
\nWelcome to the 21st Century,
\nwhere technology has
\nsurpassed humanity.
\n
