Strange, the charge \u2013 the larger thrust \u2013<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

the feeling that you must <\/i>\u2013 the yen to thrive \u2013
\nthe urge to amplify all senses you\u2019re alive \u2013<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

strange when they don\u2019t come. Reassurance<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

shuts you up, and \u2013 dumb and deaf to it \u2013
\nand left to the conundrum of your inanition \u2013 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

your ambition seems to be less to establish<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

some new basis to arrive more widely
\ninto consciousness than to retreat to stasis.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Pep talks sound like parakeets. All the sweets<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Enthusiasm eats taste bitter in your mouth.
\nHope goes south. You sigh. You can\u2019t <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

say you feel better. But somehow you decide <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

you don\u2019t feel worse. Perhaps that signals
\nsomething like the lifting of a curse.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
