Had it not been
\n a hell of a night
\n I would not know
\n how chandeliers
\n had broken
\n and the gig we did
\n broke into dawn
\n till all the people
\n in the room started
\n reading those old
\n books, which memories
\n had kept stored in rusted
\n trunks. One started reciting
\n the others with immaculate
\n looks read steadfastly.
\n Silence. Silence was the watch dog.
\n The reading continued late till
\n the day. Gunshots woke them up.
\n They were told they were hostages
\n but they continued to read.
\n A war is on ( they were told) <\/p>\n

The chandeliers splintered
\n books strewn, <\/p>\n

death hyphenated, they
\n continued to read.
\n Soon dogs started barking
\n the coffins were ready.
\n The clock ticked
\n death is a neighbour.<\/strong>
\n
