When you look back on the pages,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of some half completed book,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When you contemplate, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Its twist and change,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the age its teller took.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To unravel countless cases,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To weave a central theme,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To bewitch you with its reverie,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To sniff its inner dream<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And to wrap you up in a wisdom<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That you don’t quite understand.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a lot to read half a book<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And contemplate its style.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For the story is half woven,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The tale has made its due,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Like a life that’s found a meaning<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You know what you’re going through.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And you lean your head out forward,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To taste what you’ve to come,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But the words already written<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chapter verse and song.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And you’ve ploughed a furrow on your brow,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You’ve planted a seed that points a way,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For you’ve heard it now,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Spoken clear,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In that first half of living<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Such an inner sense beginning.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When you look back on the pages<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Of a half completed book<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When you contemplate its twists and change<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the age its teller took.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Robin Marchesi, born in 1951, began writing in his teens, much to the consternation of his mother, <\/span>the sister of Eric Hobsbawm, the historian.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1992 Cosmic Books published his first book entitled \u201cA B C Quest\u201d. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1996 March Hare Press published \u201cKyoto Garden\u201d and in 1999 \u201cMy Heart is As\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

ClockTowerBooks published his Poetic Novella, \u201cA Small Journal of Heroin Addiction\u201d, digitally, in 2000. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Charta Books published his latest work entitled \u201cPoet of the Building Site\u201d, about his time working with Barry Flanagan the Sculptor of Hares, in association with the Irish Museum of Modern Art. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He is presently working on an upcoming novel entitled \u201cA Story Made of Stone.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
