Like sparks trailing <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0from a million, billion fireflies,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0a single thought <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0limns a trillion suns.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0From the first small bonfire<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0flickering across four million years,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0whose light imprints itself <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0upon the canvas backdrop<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0of a feckless, barely cohesive Infinity,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0the matter of man, no more than<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0the past, transmogrifies the future —<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0denies the import of “real” or “black”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0or any other type of matter.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0Yet existing, it defines the local locus<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Of now and when and how and then.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0The freezing cold of space <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0burns like energy <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0backfiring on itself.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Somewhere, <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0celestial lightshows<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0flare across parsecs <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0of near emptiness.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0Liquid oxygen fuels <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0the laboring lungs<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0of multitudes, <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0singing out the music of the spheres,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0maestros of a trillion symphonies,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0platelets in the lifeblood of the Universe.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u00a0Like a Coriolis wave that imprints itself<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0upon a formless sandstorm,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0a thought burns itself <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0into the very fabric<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0of Eternity, <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0opens like <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0a budding flower,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0and initiates <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0its own realities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
