my morning Sun is orange
\nThe yellow is stained
\nwith the Blood of my People
\nfor that is what we
\nare reminded of
\neach day<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

when it rises from the East
\nto greet the world
\ni see my world
\nclearly<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

we once lived with a hope
\nthat the atrocities of Hate
\nWar
\nand indifference
\nwould go away
\nbut it did not<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

my hope has been misplaced
\nsomewhere
\nand i can not remember
\nwhere i have set it down<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

it might have been that day
\ni lost my arm
\nor that day
\nwhen my Father was jailed
\nor that day
\nwhen my Sister was killed
\nshe was only 3<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

no, i think i lost my hope
\nthe day
\nmy Mother no longer cried<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

her eyes have been dry
\nfor many a year now
\nand somehow
\nby some grace
\nshe still has enough love in her
\nto hug me
\nonce in a while
\nthrough that pained smile
\nthat still adorns her face
\njust so she won\u2019t completely break<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

there is a noise i hear
\nit is a loud silence
\nthat stays with me
\nthrough my callousness
\nfor the gunfire
\nand the bombs
\nand the screams
\ni can not hear them<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

they have long ago
\nassaulted and killed
\nthe dreams of my Family
\nmy village
\nmy people
\nand it is now working on
\nHumanity<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

where is the sanity
\nin this methodology
\nto be found<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

every day is \u201cGround Zero\u201d
\nwhere i live
\nevery where i look
\ni see Ground Zeros
\nand we have lost count
\nof those who
\nare no more
\nbecause of what you call War<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

but you and i
\nnever had a dispute
\nthat i know of
\nIf so, please tell me what i did wrong
\nto cause you harm
\nthat you should exact such wretchedness
\nupon me
\nand others like me<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

i know not of the Politics
\nof it all.
\ni have never met a Politician
\nare they so different
\nthan we the people ?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

if it\u2019s Oil
\ni give it to you
\nif it\u2019s right
\ntake it freely
\ni will not raise nor put my hand
\nagainst that
\nof my Father\u2019s children<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

there was a time
\nwhen all i thought of
\nwas simply
\nfinding Joy in my life
\ni have since given up that quest
\nfor i see far too much
\nof that other stuff
\nwhich deserves not a name<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

my Sun is no longer Yellow
\nbut i do pray my Brother
\nthat yours is<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

my Sun is Orange<\/p>\n

This is dedicated to all the Villages, Peoples across our Globe who must endure<\/p>\n
