I am known by what
\nI am not.
\nI am defined by the world
\naround me, its vast
\nsurface of opposites.
\nI am an existence framed
\nby the lack of existence,
\na person of binary terms,
\nnot female, sometimes
\nnot kind, often not
\nhospitable, not in love
\nwith the sound of my own
\nvoice, but in love with the
\nsound of another’s.
\nNot what I was and yet
\nnot what I will be.<\/strong>
