\nsweet little sperm.
\nShow us what you are made of,
\nthrive to compete,
\nreach for the stars
\nin England\u2019s global dream.
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm.
\nDon\u2019t worry if it\u2019s just white tissue
\nwhere you have to navigate:
\nThe world\u2019s changing fast,
\ndon\u2019t refrain to adapt
\nto exciting new terrains.
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm.
\nWe don\u2019t want any
\nforeign,
\nfaster,
\nbastard
\nsperm
\nto get there,
\nto get anywhere,
\nin fact,
\nbefore you.
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm,
\nif you\u2019re idle, you\u2019ll be dead.
\nI know there is no egg,
\nbut who needs more of them
\nif technology will soon
\nallow to replicate,
\neven in their solitude,
\nindividuals like you
\nwho can\u2019t find a mate?
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm,
\nit\u2019ll do you good.
\nYou don\u2019t want to be fat,
\nlike me,
\nor have cholesterol.
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm,
\nit\u2019s in your DNA
\n(and in my IDS),
\nlike our sporting traditions,
\ndiscipline, skill,
\nour culture of duty,
\nglorious league tables,
\nsacrifice, routine.
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm,
\nbut do not demonstrate!
\nDo not complain!
\nDo not affiliate!
\nPut a brave face
\nand get on with it!
\nDon\u2019t believe what anyone says,
\njust believe in you.
\n 
\nKeep moving your tale,
\nsweet little sperm.
\nYour welfare depends
\non the vibrancy of your motion,
\nyour speed up the stream,
\nand so does my wage,
\nand my job,
\nand the profits of thousands
\nof savvy businessmen
\nwho trade
\nwith the energy
\nof the movement
\nof your tail,
\nsweet little sperm.<\/strong>

\nTony Martin-Woods started to write poetry in 2012, at the age of 43, driven by his political indignation. That same year he also set in motion Poes\u00eda Indignada (Transforming with Poetry), an online publication of political poetry that he edits. Tony is a political and artistic activist who explores the digital component of our lives as a means to support critical human empowerment. He is also known in the UK for his work as an academic and educator under his non-literary name. He writes in English and Spanish and is due to publish his first book of poems in 2016.
