\nI woke up
\nIn the complete darkness
\nReaching out for you
\nLike I always do
\nBut this time
\nYou were there.
\nI touched your shoulder
\nAnd you grunted.
\nI don\u2019t know if the grunt
\nWas anger or assent
\nBut you were there,
\nBeside me,
\nAsleep.
\nWhere you belong.
\nI kissed your shoulder,
\nYou sighed,
\nThen began to breathe deeply
\nAgain.
\nI fell asleep
\nCompletely
\nSatisfied.<\/strong>
