\nLittle Man-child
\ntrying to play with the Big Boys
\npretending to be gods
\nup on Olympus
\n 
\nCareful with the hubris
\nlest ye fall like Atlantis
\nwith Eve and all her serpents
\n 
\nTake a rib and suck it
\ndown to the marrow
\ntrying to find a First Cause
\nin the belly of the feast
\n 
\nIt\u2019s the passion of the Beast
\nwelcome to carnage city
\nbringing the chaos nightly
\n 
\nCome dance with Bacchus
\nwho wears the grapevines
\non his head as a halo
\nglowing with the spilt blood
\ncaptured in the glass that ever flows<\/strong>
\n 
\n 
\nScott Thomas Outlar lives a simple life in the suburbs, spending the days flowing and fluxing with the tide of the Tao River, marveling at the intricacies of life’s existential nature, and writing prose-fusion poetry dedicated to the Phoenix Generation. His words have appeared recently in venues such as Siren, Section 8, Midnight Lane Boutique, Dead Snakes, Mad Swirl, and Dissident Voice.
