\nRemain calm,
\nI\u2019m a marketing professional \u2013
\nI am not a follower but a leader,
\nan influencer who tells you what to buy
\nand when to buy it.
\nAre you buying this?
\n 
\nI have no idea how my career came to this,
\nI was going to be a rockstar or a Great Writer
\nbut if I\u2019m honest,
\nit\u2019s easier to get a job than a book deal.
\n 
\nPlease remain calm,
\nwe are all of us anxiety-ridden
\nand we deal with disorders in our own special ways,
\nonly I can\u2019t remember where my lighter is.
\n 
\nAnxiety is neither a disorder nor a state of mind,
\nit is a natural response to the world around us \u2013
\nif you ain\u2019t scared sometimes
\nthen there\u2019s reason to be worried;
\nyour secondary school education was a scam,
\npurely controlled exposure to stress and prejudice
\n\u2018cause the school of hard knocks is a real place baby
\ninside our heads, inside our hearts,
\ninside our minds.
\n 
\nMillions of years of deterministic natural selection
\ncoupled with the sexual behaviours of the human female
\nand the one bad gene passed down through generations
\nhave all come to this, this world, this life,
\nthese living legends trapped on the dole
\ntrying to monetise art through nice online communities
\nbut let me tell you this my friend,
\nyou can\u2019t crowdsource a cure for cancer
\nand your country\u2019s budget is wasted on the arms race,
\nwhy don\u2019tcha blow a few heads off before the banks collapse?
\n 
\nThese anxious words are a unique celebration
\nnever before seen in the annals of human existence,
\njust words that any man could write
\nand so why shouldn\u2019t I?
\nEvery soul on earth is complicit
\nand this indictment brings shame on us all \u2013
\nwe are killing the planet through our sheer stupidity,
\nwe are destroying our most precious resources
\njust to watch them burn;
\nwhen the world reaches its eventual destruction,
\nwho, then, will lead the applause?<\/strong>
\n
