I<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis gaudy tourist beach<\/strong>\r\n  retired scum of <\/strong>\r\n      exploit the poor <\/strong>\r\n      Australia. Playing<\/strong>\r\ngolf, faking orgasm, moved<\/strong>\r\n  to pornographic<\/strong>\r\n      cunt\/cock fix. <\/strong>\r\nSea change? <\/strong>\r\n  Take me<\/strong>\r\n      back to the ghetto! Alive <\/strong>\r\n      and troubled.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nII<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIf you work hard to\r\n  privatise your\r\n      testicles, lick\r\n  the cum of \r\n      \u2018benchmark\u2019 and\r\n      \u2018quota\u2019; you\u2019ll\r\n  accumulate enough super to\r\nretire here,\r\n      among the buggies\r\n      and boredom.\r\n\r\nIII\r\n\r\nAll those four wheel drive\r\n      pseudo - jeeps, with\r\n  with bobbed blonde narcissists\r\n      and three kids to\r\npiano this, and soccer that\r\n  dancing this and tutoring\r\n  that \u2014\r\nsuch clumsy tanks on the roads\r\n  at twilight \r\n  crawling home to their\r\nMcMansion garages. She\r\n      eyes me like a\r\n      night in the swamp.\r\n<\/strong>\r\nIV<\/strong>\r\n\r\nA morning where I want to \r\n   XXXX the world, want\r\nto belch and fart \r\n   fumes of bodily liberation \r\nand laugh at the monkeys\r\n   red - assed with scrofula. The \r\nmonkeys off to their paper mausoleums \r\n   seeking adrenaline-junky highs\r\nfrom contact sport, all \r\n   those sado - masochistic males\r\n      banging into each other\r\n      like painted fridges \u2014\r\n   millions of them, aiming between\r\n      human goalposts. I\r\n\r\nlaugh at the monkeys, red - assed\r\n      with scrofula.<\/strong><\/pre>\n

\nIan Irvine is an Australian-based poet\/lyricist, fiction writer and non-fiction writer:<\/strong<\/span

\nHis work has featured in many Australian and international publications, including <\/strong>Fire<\/strong><\/i><\/span> (UK) \u2018Anthology of 20<\/strong><\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> Century and Contemporary Poets,\u2019 (2008) which contained the work of poets from over 60 nations.<\/span> His work has also appeared in a number of Australian national poetry anthologies, and he is the author of <\/span>three books<\/span> and co-editor of many more (including <\/span>Scintillae 2012,<\/i><\/span> an anthology of work by over 50 Victorian and international writers and poets). He currently teaches writing and literature at Bendigo TAFE and Victoria University (Melbourne) and lives with fellow writer Sue King-Smith and their children on a 5 acre block near Bendigo, Australia.<\/span>
