What kind of spaz-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>tic draws vigor from pornographic veins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>or penis-headed parodies of ass?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>But you&#8217;re no baby, Baby. Holy weans<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>alive, I could not diaper your fine mess.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You soil all metaphor. I&#8217;ll author blame:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>My labs, my country tis of thee. My shame<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>is writ uncovered on your face. No less<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>you&#8217;d scare Sears&#8217; portrait guy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And yet I&#8217;m drawn<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>to parse the prick that promenades your head.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>They told us, Horus, Set, the Golden Dawn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a Third Eye\u2014neither naked, neither dead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>of shameless form would, near the end, arrive<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>commending those whose fear brought it alive.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teratogen 2: Cabbage Patch Moll<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHence world picture, when understood<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>essentially, does not mean a picture of the<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>world but the world conceived and grasped<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>as picture.&#8221; \u2013Martin Heidegger<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You vandalize distress at no small cost<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>through nylon skein and cabbage patch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>disguise. This manhunt though is long since lost.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All have been found. First paparazzi snatched<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>unguarded moments. Then we watched gray puffs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>televise precision. Your face<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>is pixelated aftermath that stuffs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>everything in the close-up. Common place<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>covers all bases. Where\u2019s the intimate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>to hide? The convict is a partial judge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>on all subjects of visual merit. Split<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>my screen and your forehead suggests a smudge-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>print. We share the mounting headcount\u2019s ripe bruise.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For I no longer feel eyewitness news.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teratogen 3: Thumbelina, Dance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201c\u2026advanced forms of biological warfare that can &#8216;target&#8217; specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool.&#8221; \u2013from Project for a New American Century (PNAC) Manifesto, 2000<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We vet foot bills. I cannot stream out into the streets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fluoride neutered all my upright power.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019ll litter no more dog-days in these sheets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Poor pup, you play dead well. No, we\u2019ll not lift<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>you up. One burp and you could well explode<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>across complicit shoulders. To the swift<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>life opens up. As for an honest road<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>with cars to chase, let\u2019s first define your legs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Right now you are a thumb. How motion begs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Teratogen 4: Waterboy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cNo, you people are drinkin\u2019 the wrong water.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2013from The Water Boy, the movie (1998)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Suffer this baby floating on the earth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>amphibious. Grace alone can mend<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>fluidic pustules. Please make haste. No berth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>so wide of God, nor time-belabored End-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>time should deflate ascent. Prospects look grim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>for god-speed. These mutants wash ashore.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our amniotic seas now euthanize.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please hear, oh Lord, water-boy\u2019s gurgled cries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>His isotopic lungs cannot advance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>beyond collapse. Who\u2019ll baptize<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>the Burpee Girl with ovulating eyes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teratogen 6: Improvised Existential Denouement (IED)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Up close you could be anybody&#8217;s child-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>care scandal. Hamburger Hill limps beside<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>your fresh pink meat. While no one looked, life filed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>your backstroke down to blisters. They will hide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>your books in study hall. Who will arrest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>this mutant form now terrorizing cells?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Without a clear and sewn-up threat the West<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>cannot hold the line. Deformity spells<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>doom. No tight-knit group of key advisors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>props up your bloated puppet-string regime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sit up. Exude malevolence. Your sores<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>must find themselves else war will lose its steam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>pressed irony. Don&#8217;t make us make Big Macs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cater our events. Weather our attacks.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teratogen 7: Baby Skeletor (Brought to You by \u2018Masters of the Universe\u2019)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cSkeletor\u2019s face accidentally got splashed with acid and he sacrificed his face to<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>survive.\u201d \u2013from \u2018Masters of the Universe\u2019, a Mattel media franchise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Before ill-winds impinged on faultless weather,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I had a barrow glazed with rain for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I&#8217;d wheel you to the bus-stop, but why lever<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a father&#8217;s guilt atop your unhinged glue?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019m loath to hold you up for God to see,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>nor shower you with blue comforts. Why not flee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>my too-short arms, your wails so out of key?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You scream small monster none the least at me.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I&#8217;ll prop you up at school if you insist.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>But stand-up kids are cruel. They will resist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>the womb&#8217;s last weapon, shrunken in their midst.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The universe won\u2019t stoop.
