\nThe killing machine kills more animals a day
\nfor consumption
\nthan ipso facto, we in a year’s killing fields.
\n 
\nGod made in our image, the anonymous
\ncrowd, knotted
\nthrough with confections washed up on
\n 
\nOur coast of humanity, which windows
\nonto a Zoo
\nlife thrives on deception. A moral mind
\n 
\nAn infallible judgement, where everyone
\nis dead
\nevery tomb unearthed, then resealed
\n 
\nAnimal, human remains heaped in fields
\nas tipped
\ndumps, where even the horizon’s clouds
\n 
\nAre vapid incineration, a house of cards
\ncrumbling, falling
\ninto one another, into the pit that blots us out.<\/strong>

\nRobin Ouzman Hislop Editor of the 12 year running on line monthly poetry journal Poetry Life and Times<\/strong>. (See its Wikipedia<\/em> entry at Poetry Life and Times<\/a>). He has made many appearances over the last years in the quarterly journals Canadian Zen Haiku<\/em>, including In the Spotlight Winter 2010<\/em> & Sonnetto Poesia<\/em>. Previously published in international magazines, his recent publications include Voices without Borders Volume 1<\/em> (USA), Cold Mountain Review<\/em>, Appalachian University N Carolina, Post Hoc<\/em> installed at Bank Street Arts Centre, Sheffield (UK), Uroborus Journal<\/em>, 2011-2012 (Sheffield, UK), The Poetic Bond II & 111<\/em>, available at The Poetic Bond and Phoenix Rising from the Ashes<\/em> a recently published Anthology of Sonnets: Phoenix Rising from the Ashes<\/a>. He has recently completed a volume of poetry, The World at Large, for future publication. He is currently resident in Spain engaged in poetry translation projects.<\/strong>
