\n  
\n In effervescent blues,
\n I’m a waterfall.
\n some vessels pass in the shade next to blades
\n of doves\u2019 wings
\n wading with want and languid play.
\n Grass,
\n that’s what the air sends from lies.
\n smog is a fog of life;
\n a moment of honesty wrapped in squall lines of fine brass tears,
\n but I’m still a waterfall.
\n a bad splash lasting for tracks
\n and changing rifts in hives.
\n  
\n  <\/p>\n

Rings and trills
\n splats and trash
\n life and rotten whatever,
\n air and water;
\n until
\n we
\n all
\n fall
\n down
\n up stream
\n over the shaved bruise.
\n  
\n  <\/p>\n

Honey,
\n I’m still a bad slip of the tongue;
\n tacit buds of beaded meaning
\n lasting in the desert,
\n melding the prizes of cause and effect.
\n But you won’t reach out and touch me.
\n just gonna stand there and take a picture,
\n knowing you need to feel something good!
\n something common to the rhythm you hear.
\n Under the rust of the marriage bed,
\n Under the tracks of our
\n train.
\n

\nBio: Dr. Ernest Williamson III has published poetry and visual art in over 500 national and international online and print journals. Professor Williamson has published poetry in journals such as The Oklahoma Review, Review Americana:A Creative Writing Journal, and The Copperfield Review. Some of his visual artwork has appeared in journals such as The Columbia Review, The GW Review, and The Tulane Review. Many of his works have been published in journals representing over 50 colleges and universities around the world. Dr. Williamson is an Assistant Professor of English at Allen University and his poetry has been nominated three times for the Best of the Net Anthology.<\/strong><\/p>\n
