\/>\ngirl obsession of the virgin stork<br \/>\nwith tufts of damask feathers<br \/>\nthat splashed death,<br \/>\nof the crazy stork with wings<br \/>\nof golden strychnine<br \/>\nwhich flew off leaving you with a corporeal perfume,<br \/>\na neat smell of lilacs, already golden and rude dreams.<br \/>\nGirl who obeyed the apostle scops owl<br \/>\nand the murky look of real eyes,<br \/>\nwith puerile drawings of Selene and the rest.<br \/>\nGirl of non-existent concert,<br \/>\ngirl of cruel sonatines and malevolent books by Tom Wolfe,<br \/>\nor witch lace to bandage wounded deer ulcers,<br \/>\nof fallow deer gazing from mystical knolls,<br \/>\nor places like that.<br \/>\nPluperfect girl, girl we never were,<br \/>\ntell it now,<br \/>\ntell it now, you, now that it&#8217;s so late,<br \/>\nspell out the sombre tempo,<br \/>\nspell me the tear<br \/>\nthe purple silhouette of the mare,<br \/>\nthe foal that lay at your feet waking up foam.<\/p>\n<p>Abandoned recite the words of yesteryear,<br \/>\nshadow of Juan Ram\u00f3n: Solitude, I am true to you.<br \/>\nScornful recite the words of yesteryear,<br \/>\nbut not that courtly verse,<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t talk of queens white as a lily,<br \/>\nsnow and Joan burning<br \/>\nand interwoven melancholy<br \/>\nof dear Villon,<br \/>\nspeak clear verbs where you can drink the saddest liquid,<br \/>\njars of sea and relief, now that it is already so late,<br \/>\nraise your tiny voice and summon up the song:<br \/>\ntell life that I remember her,<br \/>\nI remember her.<\/p>\n<p>This small death is definitely lost in a nascent forest,<br \/>\nthe shoot of an arrested comet,<br \/>\nthat nobody saves<br \/>\nyoung volcano of novice gust and bones<br \/>\nmade of bird, eyelid and thinking wave<br \/>\nthat no stella book<br \/>\nno book painted with Italien solar gold,<br \/>\nno book of lava<br \/>\nwill seal for me.<\/p>\n<p>And so death so many times written<br \/>\nbecomes radiant,<br \/>\nand i can talk<br \/>\nof desire and the unseeing beam of the lighthouse,<br \/>\nof the chimerical corpse of the crew.<br \/>\nAnd so death<br \/>\nbecomes the story<br \/>\nof that mute girl who hanged herself<br \/>\nwith boreal harp&#8217;s strings<br \/>\nbecause of nuptial poison on her tongue.<br \/>\nI definitely get lost cradling litters of rare epitaphs,<br \/>\ngirl of golden tresses,<br \/>\nI will tell life that you remember her,<br \/>\nI will tell death that you remember her<br \/>\nthat you remember their lines conjuring your shadow,<br \/>\nthat you remember their palabras de anta\u00f1o,<br \/>\npero no aquella estrofa cortesana,<br \/>\nno hables de reinas blancas como un lirio,<br \/>\nnieves y Juana ardiendo,<br \/>\ny la melancol\u00eda entretejida<br Andreu (born 1959 A Coru\u00f1a) is a Spanish poet. She grew up in Orihuela, where her family still resides, and attended El Colegio de Jesus-Maria de San Agustin, followed by studies in philology in Murcia. At age 20, she moved to Madrid without formally completing her education. Here, she met Francisco Umbral, who introduced her to the literati of the city.<\/p>\n<p>In 1980, she was awarded the Premio Adon\u00e1is de Poes\u00eda for her work entitled, De una ni\u00f1a de provincias que se vino a vivir en un Chagall. Her use of surrealism is considered the beginning of the Post-Modern Generation. Her later work has tried to shy away from the surrealist tendencies of her early pieces.[2]<\/p>\n<p>In 1985, she married novelist Juan Benet.
