\ndenizen of the mental metropolis
\nthere is a city that bears your name
\nbut the city of the mind
\nis the only home you know
\n 
\nyour mother Metis
\nsubsumed by Zeus
\nwho wanted no rivals
\nno sons to challenge him
\n 
\nHow ironic, then, that you came forth instead.
\n 
\nPoor Zeus.
\nDid he not realise
\nthat he would never be free
\nuntil you were released?
\n 
\nNo child of the womb
\nyet even in the skull of Zeus
\nyour mother\u2019s spirit
\ngave you wisdom and strength
\n 
\nThere is none better to be companion of the heroes.
\n 
\nBrave deeds not warmongering
\nwill win your admiration and respect
\nand men who wish to dwell with you
\nmust also dwell in the city of the mind
\n 
\nYour head is aflame like a match
\nburning bright but burning out
\nbefore your body catches fire
\nstaying cool to the touch
\n 
\nCan you forgive Zeus for what he did to your mother?
\n 
\nYou wear your armour with pride
\nbut beware the shining metal
\nlest your protection
\nbecome also your prison
\n 
\nThe Gorgon at your breast
\nthis monster keeping demons at bay
\nis she not also a demon
\nbut one of your own making?
\n
