When I get home
\nthings will be the same.
\nI haven’t changed.
\n 
\nThe sling
\ncomes off the day
\nI get on the plane.
\n 
\nI’ll be able
\nto cut the grass,
\nrake the leaves,
\n 
\nshovel the snow,
\nall the stuff I did before.
\nAnd every morning
\n 
\nin summer, fall,
\nwinter and spring,
\nwhen we wake up,
\n 
\nI’ll draw rosettes
\nwith the tip
\nof my tongue
\n 
\non your nipples,
\nawait your orders to
\nbivouac elsewhere.
\n 
\nNothing has changed.
\nI’m feeling fine.
\nWe’ll cleave again.
\n
