\nThen the dream came back again.
\nIt often comes these days.
\n  
\nManjushree with a sword in his hand,
\nrushing toward Chobar.
\n  
\nMen, working in the farm,
\ncomplementing each other.
\n  
\nColourful streets, women wearing bright red saris
\ndancing, bear a resemblance to the festival of Teej.
\n  
\nThundering moan of Kali Gandaki
\nand the concentration of dazzling mountain peaks.
\n  
\nSalubrious aroma of incense sticks
\nand the burning earthen lamps.
\n  
\nSnow roosters and the barking deer\u2019s
\nwalloping here and there.
\n  
\nThen, all of a sudden\u2026..
\nBrutal wind meandered
\nthrough the serene forests of time.
\n  
\nThen someone, may be a priest,
\nshowed a black shirt, belonging to the God himself.
\nBut not a single drop of rain fell on it.
\n  
\nSomeone then shouted,
\n\u201cMachchendranath is angry, Nepal has lost her fertility.\u201d
\n  
\nI saw Lord Shiva standing in front of me,
\nblood dripped like tears down his forehead.
\n  
\nI saw dead body of Lord Shiva floating on the
\nLake Gosainkund. Saw Nagkunda, Bhairavkund,
\n  
\nSaraswati Kund and Suryakund clad in fabric white,
\nwith shaven heads, mourning the Lord\u2019s death.
\n  
\n  
\n<\/strong>Bhuwan Thapaliya works as an economist, and is the author of four poetry collections. Thapaliya\u2019s books include the recently released Safa Tempo: Poems New and Selected (Nirala Publication, New Delhi), and Our Nepal, Our Pride (Cyberwit.net).
