I will not waiver or protest
\nthat the wait is hard to bear;
\nThe parent-to-be is patient
\nfor the child he cannot see, knowing
\nthat eternity is rounding unknown
\nseas to fishing nets. My
\nbeloved, I wait. I stand upon
\nthe beach, my arms are wide, you
\nmust swim to the sound of me
\nand lights undreamed. We shall be
\ncoins of sides alike and sleep together
\nin the shade. You are the growing
\nlength of me that lays
\nupon a floor of leaves
\nand says, there is no end to light
\nor closing of the day. There are only
\nclarions that pierce the dark
\nwith mirror songs like these.

Para mi hijo
\n <\/p>\n

No renunciar\u00e9 ni me quejar\u00e9
\nde que la espera es dif\u00edcil de soportar;
\nEl futuro padre es paciente
\nante el hijo que no puede ver, sabiendo
\nque la eternidad rodea de
\nmares desconocidos las redes. Querido
\nm\u00edo, yo espero. Estoy de pie
