<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a> Oh!\u00a0 My heart\u2019s in Cumbria,
\nThat for so long I\u2019ve missed,
\nThe blue grey hills and valleys
\nOf early\u00a0Autumn\u2019s kissed.
\nFor not since young I\u2019ve seen it
\nBeneath a northern sky,
\nWhen at dawn in soft grey mist
\nI watched the clouds race by.<\/b><\/p>\n

The lakes \u2018neath mountain summits<\/strong>
\n Are deepest peacock green,<\/strong>
\n With trees aflame in Autumn,<\/strong>
\n The like you\u2019ve never seen!<\/strong>
\n For colours rich in texture<\/strong>
\n Are painting gold the hills<\/strong>
\n While heathers bathe in purples,<\/strong>
\n Ahead of winter chills.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All through this golden silence<\/strong>
\n By silver tarns aflow,<\/strong>
\n The low-land sheep are grazing<\/strong>
\n Where tangled breezes blow<\/strong>
\n And o\u2019er beyond in Keswick,<\/strong>
\n You\u2019ll see the ospreys there,<\/strong>
\n Among the blue of shadows<\/strong>
\n Where sights of them are rare.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yet should you walk yet higher<\/strong>
\n To climb the tallest peak,<\/strong>
\n There\u2019s snow as white as crystal<\/strong>
\n Where clouds will brush your cheek.<\/strong>
\n My heart so loves this landscape<\/strong>
\n That Autumn\u2019s long desired,<\/strong>
\n The lakes and fells and mountains,<\/strong>
\n Where poets are inspired.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The bronze and gold this season<\/strong>
\n Will nestle on the brink,<\/strong>
\n Of shores beside pearl waters,<\/strong>
\n Where trout and salmon slink.<\/strong>
\n Oh! My heart\u2019s in Cumbria,<\/strong>
\n That for so long I\u2019ve missed<\/strong>
\n But hope prevails I may return<\/strong>
\n To keep an Autumn tryst.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lulu<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0 Lulu Gee lives on the south east coast of England.
\nShe’s had a varied working career starting at a theatrical shoemakers designing and making shoes for most of the west end shows in London, then as a hotelier and finally in finance for a corporate cryogenic company until she retired, and now is a proud published author of three poetry books.
\nShe now writes full-time with her two dogs Teddy and Dolly never far from her side in her newly acquired cottage in the Kent countryside, known as the garden of England.
\nHer first book, \u2018Dolly\u2019s Wonderful New Life\u2019 is a story in verse of the rescue and re-homing of her beloved border terrier, Dolly Daydream, while the second and third were both written in conjunction with the poet Dan Lake.
\nHer latest character Miss Twizzy is about to be published and hopefully be in the shops for Christmas 2013
\nAt the moment she is working on a collection of fantasy poetry that will appeal the child in all of us.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
