the calculus of certainty<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

upon a rotational spin,<\/strong><\/p>\n

a speck in space and time<\/strong><\/p>\n

such vast circumstances<\/strong><\/p>\n

reduced to the precision of man-made clocks;<\/strong><\/p>\n

we see beyond sight<\/strong><\/p>\n

reckon beyond our reach, measure<\/strong><\/p>\n

vague ponderables–<\/strong><\/p>\n

reason is a lever, long enough<\/strong><\/p>\n

to heft the weight of time<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

and Venus<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

so few days apart after so many years in wait<\/strong><\/p>\n

love and loss, heart filled, heart empty<\/strong><\/p>\n

when life is a day glowing like the Sun<\/strong><\/p>\n

from rise to setting , to the spike of light<\/strong><\/p>\n

wisped away,\u00a0 last hiss of a candle<\/strong><\/p>\n

pinched to blackness by the sea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you sit near stars that love us from afar<\/strong><\/p>\n

when you are Love, when I want you near<\/strong><\/p>\n

yet you are distant and the end of day<\/strong><\/p>\n

comes to clear the slate I have been given.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you travel across the space of my heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

and life lifts away, into the space of<\/strong><\/p>\n

mysteries without solution<\/strong><\/p>\n

when you are yet Love, and I<\/strong><\/p>\n

am soon gone;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

and Vee-nus!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

a name so old, it brings the face<\/strong><\/p>\n

of forgotten Gods, when<\/strong><\/p>\n

ruins were young, when an ancient word<\/strong><\/p>\n

finds new dark-skinned divinity, those curved stone<\/strong><\/p>\n

statues blush envy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On pavement filled by busy feet in day,<\/strong><\/p>\n

quicker steps in neon red night and<\/strong><\/p>\n

Latin beats, rappin’- booty shakin\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

blue jean seams stretched to the point<\/strong><\/p>\n

of sheeeeer delight!<\/strong><\/p>\n

When a smile is a deep invitation, ohhh so fine<\/strong><\/p>\n

in the haze of wine and smoky laughter<\/strong><\/p>\n

She is Love in store-bought hair, half a skirt<\/strong><\/p>\n

deep mascara stares and flirts, a stroll<\/strong><\/p>\n

that melts the Saint within man<\/strong><\/p>\n

and waist moves that mans-up the boy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Muse-ic makes the hips roll, waist<\/strong><\/p>\n

revolve- an orbit of bends and side- to- side\u00a0 slides<\/strong><\/p>\n

a blouse that wears only part of her\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

She is a certain kind of Love for few who dare<\/strong><\/p>\n

for every wish of\u00a0 tropical air without cares<\/strong><\/p>\n

oblivion becomes\u00a0 a thing far, far beyond<\/strong><\/p>\n

some hours, some sweet sweat,\u00a0 heavy breaths,<\/strong><\/p>\n

and wanting\u2026\u201cVenus\u2026Baby\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201ccome cross the flo’ with me\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
