My ink flies far when I Orville write..<\/strong>
\n[That’s why I write]<\/strong>
\n It’s ideal to open up and let the brains breathe right..<\/strong>
\n[That’s why I write]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oprah talks,\u00a0 Brad Pitt acts, I write!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Weird would the world be without writers..<\/strong>
\nLike Martin’s assassination story without snipers.<\/strong>
\n What? No Bible revelations? <\/strong>
\nNo Readers’ digests? <\/strong>
\nNo Quran quotes?<\/strong>
\nNo Daily graphics? <\/strong>
\nNo music magazines? <\/strong>
\nnot even Kama sutra notes?<\/strong>
\n[That’s why I write]<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t tittle-tattle, I’d rather scribble-scrabble<\/strong>
\n Gossips are short-lived so let my pencil prattle<\/strong>
\nPoetry paints the state of affairs, affairs of the state<\/strong>
\nSo why keep a glutton crayon by a starving slate?<\/strong>
\n[That’s why I write]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born was I the same year noble Soyinka took Nobel award<\/strong>
\n My manger must have been brushed by his white hair wand..<\/strong>
\nToddling, I watched Efua Sutherland weave ‘Anansesem’ with her palm,<\/strong>
\nPondering why Kwaku Ananse hid a calabash of the whole world wisdom.<\/strong>
\n[That’s why I write]<\/strong><\/p>\n

But trifling is the written when never read..<\/strong>
\nCould we have the Passover without the bread?<\/strong>
\nSo read Shakespeare’s or Blakes’s! Atukwei’s Ama’s<\/strong>
\nIf you’ld read none, inspire…<\/strong><\/p>\n
