From six-ish Eyes on News until cynical midnight comic.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The long slow twist of breadwinners’ faces half in panic<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Over what’s for supper and afterward dialog unrehearsed,<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Unscheduled, unexpectedly possibly leading into sex or<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Negligee fantasies of we were once young, pretend for<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Awhile we are still young with hard skins tanned<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Like grapefruit you and I lavish in love in our bed<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
At our ripeness and rightness of pealing for juices.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The slow long twist of the crowd toward boredom<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Of suburbs and stagnant traffic of women frantic<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In their coffin cars to arrive at home before him,<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
To greet husband as if all day spent alone at home<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Not wet between thighs from grocerystore bagboys,<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Flirtations with delivery men brownshirted strong<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
With box gifts from dial-up-goody channels, some<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Actually will talk to them, pick up a phone, chat<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Like old friends reacquainted, then order a trophy<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
For the mantel, to remember delivery, her credit<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
card number surrendered, she signs for the memory.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The slow long twist of the crowd moves slowly along<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Alongside yellowslip riots of kids driven from school<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To their blank torments of TV. All of them, all of them<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

Why do they go home–cocooned at office–in boredom.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

They love the private mob of familiar pain.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hi Honey, what’s for dinner, not that<\/span> again.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
