STEPHANIE. A Poem by John D Robinson.

We could have
been lovers,
but we weren’t,
we could have
been life-long
friends,
but we weren’t,
we could have
been so much
more than a
beautiful exchange
of a brief and
intense light that
scorched us both
with an
innocence that
overwhelmed us
leaving us
strangers for
evermore.
