So it seems the people here think
that things will change
when Presidents change,
and when parties change.
But really, people will still complain
because politicians never do
what is best for the people,
but what’s best for their chances
for re-election.
So what else is new, you want
to see change, but you don’t
realize that all your life
you’re on this political
merry-go-round —
you think the scenery is changing
but you’re staying in place
while spinning in circles.
