#47 Later and Dog Speaks
by Marilyn McIntyre
#47 later

I'm still that
shy little big girl
able body
frowning face
a voice that
dooms
to speak
golden-haired
with a mean
left
not much has changed
i still put my trousers on
one leg at a time
but backwards.

Dog Speaks

a dog
rushed up to me in the park today
he spoke
as he up, and straddled my chest
squeezing my heart
"Speak your truth
    With good intention.
        That,,, is All..."
I strode
on with heart held high
head beating fast
and stepped full
    on, into,
        His message.
