THE PASSION VINE

The seedlings
will bear fruit
but from the huge
wild growth
from suckers
the flowers wither
on the vine
as the parent
that died.

A ROSE

The first bloom
and the last
old to soon
mired
in the past.

THE DRAGON LAIR

There's
no goodwill
for me
ill will
follows ominously
the angry smoke
from the dragon's
lair
as it rises
curls into a noose
before breaking up
in the thin air.
