SEEKER

I stand behind the eyes of many
     and yet you cannot see
Still linger on a floating fairy in a field of summer gold

Though this body is not nimble;
it fails not to reach the highest pinnacles
I clench and grasp to escape the taunting grayness;
     the loss,
that waits in every nook and cranny of life

Thunder, turmoil, winds of change bark and nip, occasionally
Without real know-how, still I manage to escape their
     clenched wrought iron fist

Many loves had I, but yet, I still have more to give

I am a seeker, I am a gypsy, a wild heart, a fighter!
Acquainted well with life indeed
And never do I expect too much
For I know life will not give it

I seek only one simple word, one meager emotion
for my inner most ME to realize
But still it does evade me

Like Alice through the looking glass;
I see love's great reflection, yet I cannot touch
And this mirror, this life still finds me as a seeker
