Autumn
© John Antonius Tabbah

In Vermont the fall trees wear their leaves
woven and weaved into the mountain by nature’s design
blending bright colors that delightfully waver and shimmer
In there dance to a refreshing autumn breeze

The autumn sun’s change in the sky
filters autumn shades of light through clouds onto a pallet
interlacing moving colors
over the mountain and valleys below

During the foliage season
many people travel to see
Vermont’s display of colors
that I dearly love to see

On the road as I drive home
I must remember to stop at a cider mill
and smell the smell of freshly made cider
and all those apples picked and packed

I am ready to bite into one of those apples
and drink plenty of cider
but no - too many apples and too much cider
makes too many stops

When I get back home
I will grill to UF, FSU and Miami football
and on Sunday the NFL and a six pack of beer or two
Yep, I like north Florida’s autumn season-too
